EnCap Flatrock Midstream's investment strategy targets the backing of management teams whose business plans focus on early to mid-stage development projects. EF Midstream actively seeks experienced and well-qualified teams that currently possess or are capable of developing deep portfolios of opportunities, and that hold unique advantages based on segment and/ or geographic expertise. EF Midstream generally seeks and favors situations where it controls the boards and major investment decisions of its portfolio companies.  It is anticipated that the portfolio life cycle of these investments will range between three and seven years.

Most of the midstream management team talent for portfolio companies comes from three potential sources (i) executives from MLP's and other pipeline companies forming their own midstream companies; (ii) proven management teams previously backed by friend and family who are now seeking institutional capital; and (iii) management teams with proven track records previously backed by other private equity firms.
